I painted this watercolor on location using the wonderful portable Sennelier watercolor palette. I had ridden two gondolas at the Engelberg ski area (this was in October, pre-season), and painted at Lake Härzli, only looking the other direction back into the valley and its fog. There was indeed some snow on the peaks opposite. It is framed in a narrow black wooden frame with a 2" antique white mat, all archival, including acrylic glass.
