Completed in 2023, this 10" X 8" pastel focused on one small section of a vigorously blooming Nanking Cherry bush in our small orchard. Although it is not a tree, and it is certainly an attractive ornamental, our bushes do produce small cherry fruits. At least, they provide an important function of feeding our local birds! This bush was only partly blooming on the day I studied it and started painting. I framed it in a brown wooden frame about 2-3" wide.
