I wanted to paint this scene from a Paint-Out at Ghost Ranch in northern New Mexico, but I painted three other scenes that day. This is from one of my many reference photos from that spring day a couple of years ago. I painted it just for a square 8" X 8" frame (the image opening) that I liked so much I had to buy several years ago. The frame is wood, stained black, with attractive embossed (raised) copper designs. It will be available from this website after a brief exhibition July 17-18, 2021; it is now available in the Cloudcroft Gallery.
